David Kelton Wiggins, 83, of Springfield, passed away on, Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at St. John's Hospital.

David was born on January 9, 1933 in Springfield the son of George and Mabel Jackson Wiggins.  He married Barbara Verscha on July 19, 1958 in Galva, IL; she preceded him in death on August 3, 2015.

David was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.  David worked as a tool and die maker for Sangamo Electric retiring in 1976 after 27 years of service.  He later owned and operated Cory-Wiggins Pump Supply.

He is survived by three children, Denise (Mark) Kerhlikar of Modesto, Robert (Theresa) Wiggins of Springfield, and Mary (Gary) Vogt of Springfield; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation will be accorded by Springfield Crematory.  Graveside services for family and friends will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Reverend Andy Hook officiating.  There will be a gathering of family and friends following the graveside services at the TRN Club, 26 Lakewood Dr., Chatham, IL 62629.
