David Leo Lee, 65, of Illiopolis, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2022 at his home.

David was born in Springfield on February 27, 1957, the son of Herbert and Olive (Cook) Lee. David graduated from Illiopolis High School in 1975 and then went on to attend and graduate from Southern Illinois University in 1979. He worked as a truck driver for Eby-Brown Trucking and later for First Choice Moving. He enjoyed mowing and spending time with his family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

David is survived by his daughter, Anna Lee; one sister, Marilyn (Jerry) LeMire; two brothers, Paul (Jill) and Jimmy Lee, and his dog JJ; Best friends; Bruce Gass and Dave Koonce.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to Resurrection Parish in Illiopolis.
