David Allen Freligh, Jr., 50, of Illiopolis, passed away on Thursday, September 27, Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. David was born on July 7, 1972, the son of David, and Sarah (Saulsbury) Freligh Sr.

He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, spending time with his family and cooking out. He loved to tell jokes and was a compassionate friend and family oriented. David loved his truck and showing it off and listening to music.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elmer & Mabel Saulsbury, mother; Sarah Moore; sister, Crystal Fishburn and stepfather Frank Moore.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lula Freligh; and their children, William, Shelby, Logan and Raven; 6 grandchildren, Annabella, Izzabell, Shadow, Brooke, Addison and Avery David; two brothers, Larry Freligh, and Frank Moore Jr.; and one sister, Christina Moore, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 10:00AM until the time of the funeral at 12:00PM at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home, 432 7th Street in Illiopolis. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Illiopolis

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
