David Lee Boggs, 66, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, August, 26, 2026 at Springfield Memorial Hospital in Springfield,  IL. David was born on January 27, 1960, in Springfield, the son of Clarence and Shirley Vetter Boggs. David was a 1978 graduate of South East High School. He served as Unit Director at the ABC Boys Club for over 25 years, and was a die hard Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

David is survived by his brothers, Kenny and Mike (Susan) Boggs; and his nephews and nieces, Victoria and Devon Boggs, Abby (Garrett) Stephens, Hannah (Jared) Wells and Emma Boggs; great nephews, Carter Wright and Walker Wells and great niece, Divina Boggs.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at Rochester Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Washington Street Mission.
