Cynthia A. Newman, 74, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. John's Hospital.

Cynthia was born on March 10, 1944 in Springfield the daughter of Housen and Rosa (Thompkin) Pinn.  She married Robert N "Bob" Newman on July 12, 1965; he preceded her in death on July 22, 2017.

Cynthia was a graduate of Feitshens High School and worked for Capital Bank which then became Regions Bank and retired after 52 years.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by daughter, Nicole Newman Sr. of Springfield; granddaughter, Nicole Newman Jr. of St. Louis, MO; brother, Edward Pinn Sr. of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Rosa Kerr of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation will be accorded.  No services are scheduled at this time.
