Corwin Lance Bentley, 70, of Springfield, IL passed away at Memorial Medical Center on Sunday August 28, 2022.

Corwin was born in Springfield on April 1, 1952 and was the son of Frank L. and Frances E. (Wylie) Bentley. Corwin served in the United States Air Force; he was also a Musician and an Entertainer. He loved his cats like his own children. Corwin earned his Master's Degree in Communications from Sangamon State University. Finally he worked for the IRS for 20 plus years.

Corwin is survived by his sister, Judy Prichard (Jim); nieces and nephews, Bill Ruschmeyer (Leslie), David Bentley (Marcia), Kim Bentley, Tammy Kraemer, Dena Rodd (Geoff), Stacy Bentley (Chad) and Jimmy Prichard III (Becky); as well as many beloved Great Nieces, Nephews, and several great great nieces and nephews and Cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gwendolyn Bentley; brother, Lawrence Bentley; nephews, Joseph Bentley and David Arnold; and a great niece, Nicole Way Wankerl.

There will be a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park on Wednesday September 7, 2022. Service will begin at 11:30am and is open to the public.
