Connie Sue Watkins, 67, of New Berlin, IL passed away on Friday February 4, 2022.

Connie was born in Litchfield, IL on July 4, 1954 the daughter of Thomas and Helen Rice. She married her husband David Watkins in Springfield on March 16, 1979.

Connie loved spending time with her friends and family, but she especially loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.

Connie is survived by her husband David; sons, William (Katie) Watkins and David (Casee) Watkins; grandchildren, Tessa, Benson, and Stone; 2 brothers, Thomas and Timothy Rice; and her sister, Patti (Michael) Pence.

Burial will take place on Friday February 11, 2022. Guests wishing to attend the burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery can come to Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. in Springfield, IL on Friday at 10:00am. The funeral home will be leading to the cemetery at 10:30am where the graveside services will take place at 11:00am.
