Connie Sue Geist,62, of Springfield, passed away on May 21, 2025 at Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 18, 1962 in Springfield, Il.   She married Thomas Geist on December 8, 1979 and he survives.  She is also survived by her father, Marvin Taft of Springfield.  Her sons Aaron (Tracy) Geist of Springfield, Andrew (Krystal) Geist of Springfield, and Adam (Andrea Dunn) Geist of Springfield.  Her grandchildren, Savannah, Madison, Morgan, Noah, Kristopher, and Henry. Her siblings, Brenda Taft, William Taft (Janet Ashbaker), and Tammy (John) Muchorski. As well as several brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was proceeded in death by her mother, Janice Taft, Aunt Karen Robinson, her father in law, mother in law, sister in law, 2 brother in laws, as well as her grandparents and other aunts,  uncles, cousins, and a great nephew.

Connie worked as a medical assistant at Capital Healthcare for many years.  She enjoyed camping, especially on Mother's Day Weekend. She also loved baking at Christmas time.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
