Rev. Clifton Jay Presley, 80, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016 at St. John's Hospice.

Clifton was born on September 11, 1935 in Detroit, MI the son of Matt and Luella Morehouse Presley.

Pastor Cliff received his Bachelor's Degree in Science Education from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO.  He was a minister for various churches in both Michigan and Missouri.  He retired from East Keys Baptist Church in Springfield in 2011.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by his three children, Rick (Candy) Presley of Marengo, OH, Steven Presley of Irving, TX and Susan Presley of Mendota, IL; former wife, Paula Presley of Kirksville, MO; friend, Linda Hicks of Springfield; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Hillard officiating.  Burial will follow at Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
