Cheryl L. Wright, 75, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Sunny Acres Nursing Home in Petersburg, IL. Cheryl was born on April 18, 1950, in Nicholasville Kentucky, the daughter of Reverend Harvey and Marjorie (Chapman) Wright. She enjoyed drawing and writing poetry in her spare time.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Bruce.

She is survived by two sisters, Hope Wright and Beth (Robert) Wright Wimberly, two nephews, Christopher (Marybeth) and Nathan; and two great nephews Nolan and Eli.

Private family graveside services will be held and Cheryl will be laid to rest next to her parents and brother at Mechanicsburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Jerome United Methodist Church.
