Obituary

Charlotte Ann Black, 73, of Springfield, went home to her heavenly father, on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at her daughter's residence, surrounded by her family.

Charlotte was born on June 25, 1944 in Springfield the daughter of Charles Leroy and Lula Woods Stone Sr.

Charlotte was a graduate of Lanphier High School and worked for the State Journal Register retiring in 1996.  She then had her own in-home nail salon.  She was a member of House of Prayer Apostolic Church.  When she was younger she enjoyed fishing with her dad.  She loved gardening and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her parents; cousin, Patricia McBride; and nephew, Jason R. O'Dell

She is survived by four children, Gregory W. Miller of Springfield, Kevin A. (Samantha) Miller of Springfield, Lori L. (Don) Rosa of Springfield and Kelee Miller of Springfield; siblings, Shirley Hackwith, Nancy Stone and Charles L. Stone Jr. all of Springfield; five grandchildren, Jeramy Skaggs, Aaron Miller, Kala (Alex) Wells, Kelsey Miller and Kassey Miller; five great-grandchildren, Brayden Semon, Chevy Hiler, Kadance Skaggs, Gavyn Adams, MaKenzie Skaggs; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Leroy Donathon officiating.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to House of Prayer Apostolic Church.
