Charles Eugene Kresse, 92, of Riverton, Illinois passed away on August 17, 2024.  He was born July 21, 1932, the son of Eugene and LaVeta Kresse.

Charles was a dedicated life-long local farmer.  He loved working the richest farmland in the world and loved the greatest sunrise view from his tractor seat.

Charles also shared an entrepreneurial spirit as co-owner in the restaurant industry with his brother who proceeded him in death.

Charles married the late Beverly Jo Trotter on May 26, 1956, and together had four children: Lynnel Kresse (Ruskin, FL), Kurt Kresse (Riverton, IL), Kimberlee Morris (Dawson, IL) and MeLesa Kresse (Springfield, IL) all of which survive him.  In addition, he is survived by his daughter Debra Nelson (Huntley, IL).  He has four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Privately held service is for the immediate family.  His ashes will reside at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's or Shriners Children's Hospital.
