Charles E. Clark Jr., 76, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Regency Care in Springfield, IL. Charles was born on Clark Air Force Base, in the Philippines on March 19, 1947, the son of Charles E. and Corazon (Jazmines) Clark. He married Martha Bland on July 1, 1973 and she survives. Charles graduated from Griffin High School in 1965, and went on to attend SIU Carbondale where he received his Bachelor's degree in 1971. He then attained his MBA from Sangamon State in Springfield. He was a past President of Central Illinois Philippine Society and played in the Slo Jam musical group. He retired from the State of Illinois and worked for the Illinois State Police.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, James Bland Clark, and one brother; James H. Clark

He is survived by his wife, Martha Clark; brothers, Robert (Gerrie), Richard (Nancy), John (Peggy) and William (Ann) Clark; sisters, Rose (Jack) Lockwood, Elizabeth (Don) Gibbons and Kathy Clark.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to SHG Athletics or Central Illinois Philippine Society.
