Cathy Ganschinietz, 74, of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at her home.

Cathy was born on July 1, 1947, in East St. Louis, the daughter of Charles and Helen (Schreiber) Van Volkenburg. She married William Ganschinietz on August 17, 1968.

Cathy was an avid artist and teacher. She worked in communications, as well as sales for WTAX, as well as substitute teaching at Rochester Middle School. Cathy also loved supporting various pet adoption agencies as well.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Cathy is survived by her husband, William; and daughter, Allison.

A Memorial gathering will be held on March 9, 2022 at Wilson Park Funeral Home, from 5:00-7:00PM.

Memorial donations may be made to an Animal Rescue of your choice.
