Catherine Marie Langdon Wells, 59, of Springfield, IL passed away on Monday February 24, 2025 at home surrounded by the love of her family.

Cathy was born in Springfield on February 22, 1966 the daughter of John "Jack" and Georgia (Holmes) Langdon.

She graduated from Southeast High School in 1984 and was one of the most exciting people to be around. As her children were growing up, Cathy's house was the "Neighborhood House". Friends of the family were always welcome. She enjoyed listening to rock music and going to concerts. She was the life of the party. Cathy also loved tending bar and had patrons from all over.

Later in life, Cathy became a grandmother and there was nothing more important to her in the world. She loved her grandchildren with all of her heart and never missed a chance to spend time with them.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Langdon and her dog, Tony.

Cathy is survived by her children, Victoria (Adam Patrick) Cianferri-Patrick and Dustin (fiancé, Nicole Ayre) Wells, Sabrina Langdon and Mercedes Langdon; grandchildren, Conner Patrick and Sophie Beavers; mother, Georgia Langdon; siblings, Deborah McCormick, John Langdon, Brenda Langdon, and Nancy Schuh; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a very large extended family.

Cremation services are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
