Carolyn Sue Kline

GIRARD, IL - Carolyn Sue Kline, 76, passed away at 11:25 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Pleasant Hill Village in Girard, Ill., after a long and arduous battle with Alzheimer's disease.

She was born Jan. 20, 1939, in Lanesville, Ill., the daughter of Leslie and Pearl Moomey. She married Larry L. Kline Sr. on June 11, 1988, at the Washington Park Botanical Gardens. Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She loved arts, crafts, and her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Larry L. Kline Sr. of Springfield; one son, Kevin Wake (wife, Deborah) of Rockford, Ill.; one daughter, Megan Wessing (husband, Mark) of Riverton; two stepsons, Larry L. Kline, Jr. (wife, Melinda) of Petersburg and John Kline of Springfield; two sisters, Mary Jane McDuffee of Pompono Beach, Fla., and Doris Fulkerson of Bardstown, Ky. Carolyn also had nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Martha Lou Brown.

She was a longtime resident of the Pleasant Hill Village.

Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, 2015 at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 31 at Mechanicsburg Cemetery with Pastor Larry Hanson officiating.

Family and friends will gather in Springfield at the Eagles Club from noon-2 p.m. for lunch after the services.
