Carol Rasmussen

SHERMAN, IL - Carol Rasmussen, 84, of Sherman, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at St. John's Hospital.

Carol was born Feb. 12, 1930, in Lansing, Ill., the daughter of Gerald and Myrtle Wright. She married Kenneth Rasmussen on June 4, 1949, her life companion until his passing in 2004.

She is survived by four children: Diane (husband, Arthur) of Sherman, Dale (wife, Tina) of Paris, Ill., Mark (wife, Betsy) of San Marco, Calif., and Karen (husband, Tim) of Findlay, Ohio; eight grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; one great-grandson; two step-great-granddaughters; one sister, Patricia Thompson of Valparaiso, Ind.; a niece and nephews.

She was an avid reader and loved to cook.

Visitation will be at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. with Kathy Sweet officiating. Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
