Carol J. Dean, 84, of Edinburg, passed away on Monday, August 22, 2022 at Moweaqua Rehab and Health Care.

Carol was born in Springfield, IL., on December 12, 1937, the daughter of Frederick and Sylvia (Boggs) Morman. She married Billy Eugene Dean on September 6, 1985 and he preceded her in death.

She enjoyed horseback riding, hunting, mushroom hunting, and worked with the Department of Conservation rehabbing animals.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Dean; one son, Steven Southwick; two sisters, Helene Butcher and Thelma Bregenhorn; and one brother, Evan Morman.

Carol is survived by her children, Ivan Jeff, and William Danial Falconer, and Stephanie Williams and Tammy Skaggs; one sister, Bette Mohler, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, from 1:00PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 3:00PM at Rochester Christian Church 325 S. Walnut St. in Rochester.

Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Protective League.
