Byron V. Moyer, 50, of Athens, IL, passed away at his home on Monday May 4 2020.

Byron was born on August 18, 1969 in St. Charles, MO, the son of John Moyer and Kathlyn Golden.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Kelly Moyer and his grandson, Matthew Platt.

Byron is survived by his daughters, Laikyne (husband, Joshua) Platt and Ashley (husband, Dustin) Cole; father, John (wife, Jill) Moyer; mother, Kathlyn Golden; brothers, John Moyer, Jarod Moyer, Joshua Moyer; sister, Jynelle Moyer; grandchildren, Kellie, Ryan, Rylie, Byron, Caiden, Maddox, and Greyson.

Byron was a very hard worker and he drove trucks for Dawson Farms for many years. He was a beloved father and grandfather. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers. He especially loved spoiling his dog, Willie.

Cremation service are being accorded by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield, IL.
