Brian C. Chastain, 45, of Springfield, Il passed away at Memorial Hospital with his wife and family by his side on Wednesday January 15, 2025.
Brian was born in Springfield on December 2, 1979 the son of Jeffrey and Mary (Vaughn) Chastain.
Brian enjoyed writing, drawing and playing Roblox with Brynn. However, family was the most important thing in Brian's life. His daughter, Brynn was his answered prayer and the light of his life. One of his favorite things to do was to take family trips with his wife, Stacy and their daughters. He loved driving his girls around to shop and eat at all their favorite places in St. Louis. They also took trips to Chicago and drove across the country to Las Vegas and back. One of their fondest memories was his daughter Brynn getting him out of a ticket on their way back from Las Vegas. He loved date nights while drinking Wicky Wacky Woos and dancing with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jeffrey; step-father, Pat Jackson; nephew, Zachary Chastain; and his best friends, Matt "Rico" Howell and Pop.
Brian is survived by his wife, Stacy Chastain; mother, Mary Jackson; daughter, Brynn Nicole Chastain; step daughters, Kaylee Loyd (Zach) and Kamryn Loyd; brothers Alex Chastain (Christi) and Chris Chastain (Jessica), sister, Clara Jackson; father-in-law, John Sauer; as well as several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 22, 2025 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th Street Springfield, IL 62702 from 4:00 pm till the time of the Funeral Service at 6:00pm.
Cremation services will follow.
Memorial donations may be made to Brynn and Stacy Chastain.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday January 26, 2025 at Dockers in Spaulding, IL at 2:00 pm.
