Brenda Joy Minder, 74, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Brenda was born on August 13 ,1952, in Roswell, NM., the daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Simmons) Schmedeke. Brenda married Floyd Minder on October 2, 1971 and they had two children, Kurtis and Breah. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Cliff Schmedeke.

She is survived by her husband Floyd, children, Kurtis and Breah (Josh) Head; two grandchildren, Haley and Alexa Head; one brother, Larry (Elise) Schmedeke and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 from 10:30AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00PM at Rochester Christian Church, 325 S. Walnut Street in Rochester. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery west of Springfield.
