Bonnie Marie Patton, 61, of Springfield, fell asleep in death on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at her residence.

Bonnie was born on March 21, 1955 in Chicago the daughter of Arthur and Virgie Washington Patton.

She worked as an admin clerk for 1st National Bank in Chicago and later became an in-home caretaker for Community Care Systems in Springfield.  She enjoyed reading, singing, and writing.  She enjoyed art and helping out at Near North Village.  She was a Jehovah's Witness and was baptized in 1992.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Kevin Allen.

She is survived by three children, Nazarene Patton of Tampa, FL, Lisa Marley of Springfield and Selvy (Leshann) Marley of Chicago; mother, Virgie Allen of Pattison, MS; one grandson, Isidore Marley; one sister, Loren (Kent) Jeffries of Canton, MI; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Cremation was accorded and private family services will be held.
