Bob Walter Roberts, 70, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. John's Hospital.

Bob was born on August 8, 1948 in Munich, Germany the son of Dale and Ingrid Krenzlin Roberts.  He married Barbara Ann Gottschalk on October 17, 1981 in Springfield; she preceded him in death on May 10, 2014.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving during Vietnam. Following the death of Barbara he became owner and president of PEC Mobile Communications, which is now Pro Electronics Communication.  He enjoyed scuba diving and bike riding.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by step-daughter, Leslie Shadden of Springfield; step-sons, Robert Gottschalk Jr. of Springfield, John Gottschalk of Del Ray Beach, FL, and Michael Gottschalk of Springfield; half-brother, David (Tina) Roberts of Riverton; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Peace Lutheran Church with Reverend Mary Zupansic officiating.  Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery.
