SPRINGFIELD, IL - Beverly Lorene Cothren, 69, of Springfield, passed away Friday, Feb. 12, 2016, at Capitol Healthcare.

Beverly was born Sept. 24, 1946, in Springfield the daughter of Thomas and Ruby Frances Watts Foster. She married Jerry Cothren; he preceded her in death in 2001.

She worked for the State of Illinois, Secretary of State for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by one son, Gary (Jill) Pollack of Springfield; one daughter, Tracie Rowden of Pawnee; mother, Ruby Frances Coady of Springfield; two sisters, Bonnie Redfern of St. Louis, Mo., and Brenda Oliver of Springfield; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be at noon on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016, at Rochester Cemetery.
