SPRINGFIELD and PALMYRA, IL - Betty L. DeCroix Garretson Wittmer, 91, of Springfield, formerly of Palmyra, Ill., died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at Friendship Home in Carlinville.

Betty was born June 14, 1924, in Springfield, the daughter of Paul and Blanche (nAC.e Diedrich) DeCroix.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Marion of Springfield; four stepchildren: Earl Wittmer of Carrollton, Kristen Brown of West Palm Beach Fla., Lori Wittmer and Dennis Wittmer, both of Palmyra; six grandchildren: Tracy Smith of Springfield, Reannin Brown of Sunrise, Fla., Kenneth Brown of West Palm Beach, Fla., Charity Crandall of Braham, Wis., Heather Pointon of Gransburg, Minn., and Austin Wittmer of Palmyra; six great-grandchildren: Randilynn Smith, Gabriel and Anaya Durand, Matthew and Makenzie Crandall and Myka Pointon; and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial luncheon to be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Douglas United Methodist Church, 501 Douglas Ave., Springfield, IL.
