(Morman) Mohler

Betty L. Mohler, 96, of Rochester, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 10, 2025 at her home. She was born on September 26, 1928 in Mt. Pulaski Township, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Sylvia (Boggs) Morman. She married Donald Mohler of Rochester on December 31, 1949. Betty was a 1946 graduate of Mt. Auburn High School. After high school, she worked in Accounting and Payroll at CIPS in Springfield, IL. for 5 years. She is a member of Rochester Christian Church and was an Election Judge for 10 years. Other activities included Home Extension, bowling and playing Pinochle.
She was very active in raising her children and their school activities. After her oldest children started college, she worked in Accounting and Payroll at Bressmer's Department Store in Springfield, IL. She left Bressmer's to work at Bunn Capital for a year until the Bressmer's President asked her to come back as a Personnel Manager. After leaving Bressmer's she helped her siblings care for her ailing father, then began caring for many people in the Rochester area.
Betty is survived by son Larry (Janet) Mohler; daughter Pam Winans; and son Randy Mohler; grandchildren, Chad Mohler, Phillip Winans, Jennifer (Gabe) Anderson, and Samantha (David) Brownback; great grandchildren, Jayden Thompson and Owen Brownback.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, three sisters, Helene Butcher, Thelma Bregenhorn and Carol Dean; one brother, Evan Morman; and son in law, Brad Winans.
No visitation or formal services will be held. Burial will be at Rochester Cemetery.
Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is in charge of arrangements.
