Barbara Ann Quade, 71, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.

Barbara was born on May 20, 1945 in Pleasant Plains, the daughter of Leslie and Gertrude Wheeler Smith.  She married Larry Ray Quade on December 13, 1975; he preceded her in death on April 29, 2000.

Barbara graduated from Pleasant Plains High School and later owned L&D's Pizza in Ashland with her husband for several years.  She was a wonderful caregiver, loved flowers, working in her yard and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by very special friend, Charles Hurst of Springfield; daughters, Trudy (Dr. James) Godde of East Galesburg and Amy (Flynt) Talkington of Rochester; grandchildren; Justin (Ivy), Brennan, Kaylee and Alexis; great-granddaughter, Piper; sisters-in-law, Mary Smith of New Berlin and Edith (Rudy) King of Springfield; very special dog, Sheba; two sisters; one brother; one aunt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, David, Charles, Ray (Ann) and Jack (Joyce) Smith.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Berlin Christian Church in Berlin with Reverend Warren Brosie officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Plains Cemetery.
