ROCHESTER, IL - Barbara Len Heath, 65, passed away at 8:50 a.m. on Sept. 22, 2015, at St. John's Hospice.
She was born July 18, 1950, to the late Charles and Maxine Tibbs. She married Thomas M. Heath in Springfield, Ill., in October of 1971.
Barbara was a resident of Rochester, Ill., for 43 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, on Jan. 22, 1993; a daughter, Pamela Anne, in 1980; her parents, in-laws, and one brother-in-law.
Barbara was, in her own words, "happily retired." She enjoyed walking, reading, and spending time socializing with her many friends. Barbara also made many memories while traveling with both her three sisters and her sisters-in-law.
Barbara was a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was found in spending time with her daughters and their families. She always had time for a phone call to offer a word of comfort or a listening ear. Barbara loved animals, and had a tender heart for her many pets over the years. She will be greatly missed in the years to come by her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Kimberly (Paul) McNally of Mascoutah, Ill., and Stacey (Matt) Egan, of Glen Carbon Ill.; four grandchildren: Andrew Thomas, James Arthur, and William Christopher McNally, and Quinn Harper Egan; three sisters: Linda (Bud) Riley of Springfield, Ill., Rhonda (Myron) Weidner of Louisville, Ill., and Tina Hopson of Clay City, Ill.; three sisters-in-law, Bea (Phil) Butler of Washington, Mo., Sue (Dave) Spring of Sherman, Ill., and June (Rodger) Grindley of Farmer City, Ill.; one brother-in-law, Norman (Georgia) Heath of Mt. Pulaski, Ill.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Barbara's family will greet friends during a visitation from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25, at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Rochester, IL.
A private funeral ceremony for family and close friends will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester, with Pastor Brad Ferris officiating.
Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
