Obituary

Arthur Wayne "Bing" Bingenheimer, 86, of Springfield, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023. He was born February 14, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He lived in Cape and Crystal City before moving to Illinois. He married Jean Bell in Springfield, Illinois and they celebrated their 58th anniversary in May.

Bing graduated from Crystal City High School and Southeast Missouri State College in Cape. He served in the Missouri Air Force National Guard. He worked for the State of Illinois for 35 years. He enjoyed gardening on their six and a half acres near Chatham. Illinois, for 47 years where he watched his four children mature into honorable adults before moving to Springfield. Bowling was a favorite pastime. He was a lifelong St.

Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and Chicago Bears football fan. Over the years he enjoyed traveling through the USA with his family and then with Jean through Europe and wintering in the Florida panhandle.

Survivors: wife Jean; sons: Gary (Angie) Springfield IL; Scott (Amy), Montgomery, IL;

Bradley, Lansing, IL; daughter Cathy (John) Davidson, Virden, IL; grandchildren: Jacob (St. Charles, MO) and Sarah Bingenheimer; Conner and Ethan Davidson; sister Joy Blake, DeSoto, MO.

Preceding him in death: Father and mother, Art and Della Jane and step-mother Stella; Missouri; brother Harold (Betty) Festus, MO; sister Betty Jane Schumer, Perryville, MO. Ellinger-Kunz and Park are handling arrangements--no visitation or services.
