Anthony J. "Tony" Tweryon, 89, of Rochester, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. John's Hospital.

Tony was born on May 21, 1927, in Springfield the son of John and Mary Tweryon.  He married Lena Maher on October 17, 1947; she preceded him in death in 1994.

Tony was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.  He was a manager for ILMO welding before retiring.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnnie Tweryon.

He is survived by one son, Bill (Patti) Tweryon; two grandsons, Brian (Heather) Tweryon and Brad (Devin) Tweryon; five great-grandchildren, Hadley, Brooke, Kami, Ellie and Ryker; one sister, Stella Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held at Rochester Cemetery.
