Annette Marie Nelson, 90, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. John's Hospital.

Annette was born on April 19, 1927 in Springfield the daughter of Chester and Dosalina Ghilardi Sbarbati.  She married Ralph T. Nelson on January 26, 1946; he preceded her in death on January 17, 2000.

She was a homemaker and had done upholstery work for St. John's Hospital.  She was a member of East Keys Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert C Nelson; grandson, Michael Nelson; one brother, Angelo Sbarbati; one sister, Marian Irwin; and daughter-in-law, Carol Nelson

She is survived by three sons, James Thomas (Sandra) Nelson of East Peoria, Ralph A. (Debra) and Donald E. Nelson both of Springfield; daughter-in-law, Barbara Nelson of Pekin; sister-in-law, Shirley S. Sbarbati of Springfield; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, September 15, 2017 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Dennis Hicks officiating.
