Annamary Kirkpatrick, 71 years young, died peacefully with her family at her side on March 4, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois.

She was born to Charles Roy Rhodes and Edna Mary (Van Middlesworth) Rhodes at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. on January 19, 1946.  Annamary and Thomas Kirkpatrick proclaimed their wedding vows on July 18, 1964, followed by 52 years of lively family life and peaceful homemaking ventures.

Ann enjoyed her children and grandchildren during the growing years at the 'farm' in Macon, IL. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, and being surrounded by her favorite flowers, wildlife and especially her feisty hummingbirds.  Ann relished her garden statuary of wading birds, small forest creatures and numerous frogs.

Ann is survived by her husband Tom Kirkpatrick, her daughters Tresa Tucker, Christine Kirkpatrick, her son Matthew Kirkpatrick, all of Springfield, IL, her sister Jennifer Tertocha of Pana, IL., brothers Stephen (Esther) Rhodes of Georgetown, IL., Timothy (Erma) Rhodes and Mark (Carol) Rhodes, both of Decatur, Il. Surviving granddaughters include Madison Tucker, Avary Kirkpatrick, and Taylor Kirkpatrick in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

Annamary was preceded in death by her mother and father, Edna and Charles Rhodes of Decatur, brother Charles R. Rhodes III, and sister Charlene Russell.

Annamary's wishes to be cremated were respected. The family plans a private ceremony and suggests acts of memorial be directed to the donors' favorite charities.
