Anna Ruth Peters

ILLIOPOLIS, IL - Anna Ruth Peters, 93, of Illiopolis, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015, at Hickory Point Christian Village.

Anna Ruth was born on Aug. 6, 1921, in Niantic, Ill., the daughter of Roy and Jessie Lockhart Beck. She married Raymond Peters. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1993.

Anna Ruth was very active in her church and loved her flower garden; but, her biggest joy was her family.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Harold, Leland and Walter Beck; and a sister, Rosemary Ford.

Anna Ruth is survived by a son, Larry Peters of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two daughters, Lainie (Drew) Clark of Erie, Colo., and Ann (Tony) Worthington of Holland, Mich.; grandchildren: Donna Ingersoll, Thadd (Tonya) Peters, Clint (Jennifer) Peters, Tonya (Mark) Westerbeke and Matthew (Rachel) Worthington; and great-grandchildren: Ashley Ingersoll, Claire, Joseph and Caroline Peters, Levi and Lynnden Peters, Ella, Mia and Asa Westerbeke and Tyson Worthington.

Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the Illiopolis Christian Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the church with the Rev. Melissa Ebken officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
