Amy Michele (Butchek) Yaris, 53, of Springfield, IL passed away on Wednesday November 24, 2021. Amy was born in Springfield on September 27, 1968 the daughter of Anton R. and Judith A. (Skeeters) Butchek.

She married her husband Steven E. Yaris on October 30, 2003. Amy loved her dog "Wiggles" very much and she also enjoyed doing craft projects. Amy was a long time member of Real Life Church in Springfield and she worked for Springfield Public Works for 20 plus years. Anyone that ever met her will never forget her.

Amy was preceded in death by her mother, Judith; brother, Bobby Joe Butchek; and several Aunts and Uncles.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; father, Anton; sister, Connie Leach; nephew Robby Leach; uncles Jim A. Skeeters and Bill James; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home, 530 North 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 9:00am till the time of the funeral service at 11:45am. (The time of the funeral had to be pushed back due to circumstances beyond our control).  Burial will follow after the funeral services at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Clint Cook officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
