Vicki Lynn Scott Wright

Vicki Lynn Scott Wright, 65, of Springfield, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Heritage Health.

Vicki was born on June 2, 1953 in Pana, the daughter of Mary and Clifford Scott.

Vicki is survived by her son, Jarrett Wright of Springfield; husband, Ivan Wright of Springfield; sister, Tina (Bob) Whitlow; and brothers, Steve Scott and Brad (Susan) Scott of Pana.

Vicki graduated from Pana Senior and Lincoln Land Community College. Vicki was baptized and married in the Pana Christian Church and since moving to Sangamon County was member of First Presbyterian of Springfield, Presbyterian New Church Devolvement of Rochester and Chatham Presbyterian. Her working career took her from banking in Decatur to Horace Mann in Springfield and she is a past President of the Springfield Life Underwriters. After suffering a near death brain aneurysm in 1997 it was time to retire. For the last decade she joined Ivan riding recumbent bicycles and had over seven thousand miles of adventures, six times across Kansas and RAGBRAI four time in Iowa. To sustain her biking, she religiously worked out at the Fit Club South. She tried to make everyone she met feel special and accomplished even through her challenges of health this past year.

Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester.  Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend Joe Eby officiating.  Burial will follow at Rochester Cemetery.
