Thelma Ramsey Miller, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at her residence.
Thelma was born on July 21, 1926 in Springfield the daughter of Orbley Otto and Jesse Taylor Ramsey. She married Robert A. Miller on February 9, 1946; he preceded her in death on March 21, 2002.
Thelma worked for several restaurants and School District 186. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women’s Association, TOPS and part of the ladies Sunday School Class. She enjoyed cooking, baking, quilting and loved her grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by four children, Patricia Miller of Springfield, Robert Lee (Marcella) Miller of Mechanicsburg, Stephen Allen Miller of Las Vegas, NV and Jan Ellen (Robert) Baker of Springfield; one sister, Violet (James) McQuern of Springfield; one brother, Edward (Janet) Ramsey of Springfield; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home. There will be an additional visitation from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Third Presbyterian Church with Reverend Joe Eby officiating. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
