Ronald Linn Phillips

Ronald Linn Phillips, 54, of Springfield, IL passed away on Saturday January 4, 2020 surrounded by his family.

Ronald was born in Springfield, IL on August 5, 1965 the son of Ronald Lewis and Linda Ann (Watkins) Phillips.

He is survived by his children, Amanda, Andrew, and Ronald; mother; Linda Phillips of Springfield; siblings; Paul (Becky) Phillips of Springfield; Daniel (Tricia) Phillips of Rolla, MO, and Lori (Andy) McLaughlin of Springfield; great-grandmother, Geraldine Gedman of Havana; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends .

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Lewis Phillips; his grandparents, Abraham and Lillian Phillips, as well as grandfather, Horace Watkins. 

Ronald loved working as a roofer and spent many years on the road as a truck driver. 

He enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, Cubs, and Bulls and was passionate about spending time with family and friends. He was always there to lend a helping hand. 

Cremation services are being accorded.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 9, 2020 at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home 530 N. 5th St. Springfield, IL 62702 from 11:00am till the time of the Memorial Service at 1:00pm. Pastor Daniel Phillips will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family of Ronald Phillips in c/o funeral expenses.

He will be greatly missed.
