Rodney Dean Bale, 57, of Springfield, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at his residence.
Rodney was born on January 14, 1961 in Springfield the son of Wimpy and Bertha Garvin Bale. He married Bonnie Braden in 1981; she preceded him in death.
He was a graduate of Lanphier High School and worked as a cook at Fulgenzi’s Pizza & Pasta for 26 years. He enjoyed drinking beer, watching football, listening to music and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by daughters, Maggie (fiancé, Josh Lee) Baptist of Tallula, Loretta (Danny) Vickers of Petersburg, Katie and Erica Wheelock; four sisters, Roxanne Eiskant, Brenda (Mike) Young, Diane (Benny) Tomlin and Gail Juhl all of Springfield; five grandchildren, Bonnie Baptist, Breanna, Makenna, Braden, and Jordan Vickers of Petersburg and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September, 16, 2018 at Ellinger-Kunz & Park Funeral Home with Reverend Bennie Fisher officiating. Cremation will follow services.
