Richard “Dick” B. Smith, 73, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Dick was born on July 6, 1944 in Springfield, the son of the late Kenneth Sr. and Margaret Smith. He married Cindy Cimarossa on July 6, 1968.

He worked for Prairie Farms Dairy and Merrill Contractors, retiring as a member of the Teamsters Local 916. He was an avid antique collector and trader, but he most loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  

He is survived by his wife, Cindy; sons, Jay (Tricia), Jarrad (Cathy), and Jeff; daughter, Stacy (Tracy); grandchildren, Kaytlin, Ashli, Austin, Kylie Smith, Montgomery Miller, Lucas and Averi Taber, Nick and Zak Leezer; sister, Carol (Don) Molnar of Mohamet; and brother, Kenneth Jr. (Donna) Smith.

Cremation will be accorded. Celebration of Life will be from 5-8:00 pm on Friday, September 22, 2017 at The Aqua Club, 1 Club Area, Springfield, IL.
