Mildred E. Mort, 82, of Springfield passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Memorial Heritage Health Hospice.

She was born May 29, 1935 in Springfield, the daughter of Otto and Leona Pratt Wilson. She married William H. Mort and he preceded her in death in 2004

She volunteered with the Auburn Ambulance and with the Springfield Public schools adopt a grandparent program. She loved to listen to country music.  

Mildred was preceded in death a brother, Floyd Pratt; and a sister, Shirley Moats.

She is survived by her four children, Steven (Patti) Overhaug of Tucson, AZ, Mark (Debe) Overhaug of Buford, GA, Renee Spallinger of Mt. Auburn, IL , and Arne (Colleen) Overhaug, Jr of Taylorville; ten grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a sister, Marge (Don) Cody of Tovey, IL; a brother, Norman (Debbie) Wilson of Divernon, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 6, 2017 at Camp Butler National Cemetery with Pastor Timothy Moats officiating.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Heritage Health Hospice.
