Marilyn K. Gutierrez, 70, of Springfield passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center.

She was born July 1, 1947 in Springfield, the daughter of John J. and Mary Shrout Hagelmeier.

Marilyn worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Maxim Racing. She enjoyed arts and crafts, bingo and was an avid reader. Most of all she loved to spending time with her grandkids and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jay Lucas.

She is survived by a son, Jesse (Christina) Gutierrez; two grandchildren, Stefana and Jesse, II; a sister, Nancy Haines; two brothers, John (Cathy) Hagelmeier, and Tony Hagelmeier.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 with visitation from 5:00 pm until the time of the service at 7:00 pm at Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home. Rev. Allen Kemme will be officiating.

Memorials may be made to ­­Little Flower School or Hoagland Center for the Arts.
