Dear Nancy, I just came across your brother’s obituary. I am sorry for your loss. I’d like to extend sympathy to Judy and Sally too. Our fathers worked together at Gambles and our parents were close friends.
Peace to all of you,
Barbara Mace
Daughter of Ellsworth and Lucille Johnson

I truly miss my brother who suffered for 14 years living in Springfield enduring many seizures and hospital stays He lived many years in his condo in Springfield Illinois ! I wish we had gotten together more as a family He loved joking and always had a smile and a joke to tell us! He loved to go to Galveston Texas! He had such an artistic talent designed his tables lamps and wall hangings! I got his pet dog We renamed her Toots

I was really a close friend of Jack's from 1967 - 1995ish, starting at SIU. We were roommates and best friends for many formative years up to and including his time in Houston starting up HRS. I lost contact with him in the late 90s and have intermittently tried to track him down over the ensuing years, but to no avail . . . until last night when I tried to google him once again and found his obituary. VERY SAD! I would love to reach out to Nancy (his only sister that I had contact with) and catch up on Jack's later life and share some memories of our time together. Please feel free to contact me. Jack was an amazing person and his influence on my life will never be forgotten!
