Claudine B. Mander

Claudine B. Mander, 104, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Regency Care.

Claudine was born on April 6, 1914 in Gainesville, TX the daughter of Tom and Mary Ellen Cosgrove Brogan.  She married De Edmond Nipp on June 23, 1939; he preceded her in death in 1956.  She married Eugene Mander on July 6, 1957; he preceded her in death on February 15, 1994.

Claudine graduated for North Texas State University in 1939.  She taught in a two room school house for three years until she moved to Springfield.  She taught for 27 years in Springfield public schools retiring in 1979.  She also volunteered at Memorial Medical Center and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Retired Teacher’s Association.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Deanna Nipp-Kientz; and sister, Ann Marie McMichael.

She is survived by one daughter, Judith Kloster of St. Joseph, IL; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Cremation was accorded and per Claudine’s wishes no services were held.
