Arlea (Mehrkens) Hadley, age 77, passed away August 18, 2019 in Springfield, IL.
She was born on August 17, 1942 to Jacob and Josephine Mehrkens in Chenoa, IL. She married Vincent Hadley on June 11, 1968 in Bloomington, IL.
She attended ISU and earned a bachelor degree in elementary education. Arlea taught 2"^* grade as well as preschool in Ottawa, IL and was also a homemaker. She moved to New Mexico in 1995 and was a member of St. John's LCMS Church where she was an organist. She volunteered her services at a nursing home and the Veteran's home in T or C, NM. She enjoyed volunteering and helping people and was a member of the American Legion Post 44 Auxiliary. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, son, David Hadley (wife Victoria), daughter, Elizabeth Hadley-Houser (husband Pete), step children, Richard Hadley (wife Tammy), Pamela Borner (husband Russ), and William Hadley, sister, Doris Rosene (husband Paul), grandchildren, Macey Hadley, Henry Houser, and Adrianna Houser, as well a niece and nephew and several cousins and many dear friends.
Cremation was provided by Ellinger-Kunz and Park Funeral Home in Springfield, IL.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 44 in T or C, New Mexico.
