Melvin Don Mayhugh, 82, of Buffalo, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at St. John's Hospital.
Don was born on June 28, 1937, in Burna, KY, the son of Robert and Laverne (Gentry) Mayhugh. He married Karen Harrison.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1955-1957. He was a member of the American Legion, Shriners, and the Masonic Lodge in Glasford.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one sister.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; two daughters, Melinda Heinz and Felicia Walsh, their mother, Sandy Mayhugh; two stepsons, David Nudo Jr. and Adam Nudo; grandchildren, Chauncey and Chase Rosenblad; step-grandchildren, Isaac and Audrey Nudo and Jolene and Elise Lawson; one brother, Harold Lynn Mayhugh; two sisters, Beverly Brooks and Carol Stacy; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 noon on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Fullenwider-Park Funeral Home in Mechanicsburg with Reverend Melissa Ebken officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where the Inter-Veterans Burial Detail will conduct honors.
