Lyman E. “Bud” Beck, 84, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Regency Care.
Bud was born on July 13, 1933 in Mechanicsburg the son of George W. and Isabell Campbell Beck.
Bud was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during during the Korean War. He became a truck driver for teamster’s local 916. He was a member of American Legion #0724 and was a fan of the Atlanta Braves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Richard “Dick”, Gary, Mike and Donald; and one sister, Doris Price.
He is survived by companion, Georgia Hibbs; one son, Rick (Debbie) Beck; three brothers, Pete (Sharon) Beck, Jack (Arlene) Beck and Larry (Connie) Beck; three sisters, Barbara Monroe, Georgia (Bud) Elmore and Linda Krepel; two grandchildren, Andy (Britni) Beck and Megan (Daniel) Nika; four great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:0 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester with Reverend Larry Hanson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rochester Fire and Rescue Squad.
