Lila (Beth) Sternes loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother passed away September 15, 2017 surrounded by her family.

Lila was born July 1, 1945 in Moweaqua IL, her parents whom preceded her in death were Elmer Barringer, and Ruby (Elmina) Barringer; brother, Othy Jacob (Butch); and sister, Sara Blackwell.

Beth loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, multitude of animals and enjoyed playing cards

Beth is survived by her husband, Donald Sternes, they married on November 21, 1975, together they raised Donald (Butch) Floyd, Michelle (Floyd) Saulsbery, and Tammy (Floyd) Prasun. She is also survived by brothers, Ron and wife, Alleen Barringer of Macon, IL, Don Barringer and late wife, Velma of Herod, IL, sister, Nell and late husband, Bobby Dale Johnson of Kearney, NE, Mary and husband, Larry Beach of Kincaid, IL, brother, Jim and wife, Barb Barringer of Juanita, NC, sister, Rose Garner of Bandera, TX, brothers, Allen and wife, Nancy Barringer of Stonington, IL, Lee and wife, Cathleen Barringer of Dalton City, IL, Joe Sinnard of Illiopolis, IL, Bill Sinnard of Wyoming, and many nieces nephews and grandchildren.

Celebration of life services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at the Illiopolis Christian Church.
