Herschel D. Creviston

Herschel D. Creviston, 73, of Dunnellon, FL, formerly of Rochester, IL, passed away, on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Legacy House in Ocala FL.

Herschel was born on August 3, 1944 in Springfield, IL on S. 10 ½ Street.

Preceded in death by his father, Page B. Creviston; mother, Anna R. (Smith) Creviston Rhodes; stepfather, Jesse B. Rhodes; brothers, John B., Donald E., Russell W., and Melvin L. Creviston; as well as a sister, Joyce M Breeding.

He is survived by wife, Ladonna Creviston; son, Barry (Val) Creviston; daughters, Penny Creviston and Patti Noyes; stepsons, Dustin Dunn and Christopher Donoho; stepdaughter, Niki Rogers; grandchildren, Zachary, Paige, Natalie, Chase, Kellen, Cannon, Lola, Andrea, Haley, Ladonna Rose, Ashley, and Nick; brothers, James (Pat) Creviston of Springfield, Dave (Karen) Creviston of Shelbyville, Steve (Chris) Rhodes, of Chapel Hill, TN, and Jeff (Rhonda) Rhodes of Springfield; sisters, Delores Creviston, Susan (Jim) Cousin of Springfield; sister-in-law, Pat Creviston of Rochester; aunt, Geneva Creviston of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends across the U SA.

Herschel was raised in Springfield and Rochester Illinois. He enjoyed the simple things in life, never met a stranger, they were friends he just hadn't met yet. He drove an 18 wheeler, and could tell you every mile marker from or to just about anywhere. He will be missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Rochester Christian Church, 325 S. Walnut, Rochester, IL from 12:00-3:00 for family and friends.
