Maxine L. Rogers

Maxine L. Rogers, 95, of Mechanicsburg, died peacefully at her home on October 18, 2023.

She was born on September 17, 1928, in Dawson, IL. the daughter of Lester and Ruth (Abbott) Kitchen (both deceased). Maxine had one brother, “Bub” Kitchen (deceased), one step brother “Sonny Yard” (deceased) and three half brothers, Tom Kitchen (Peg), Gary Kitchen (Diane), Kenny Kitchen (deceased) and one half sister, Anita Kitchen.

Maxine married Howard Rogers on April 4, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2020. Together they had five girls; Susan Tapscott, companion, Mike Sommer, Linda Shutt (deceased), Sandy Marshall (Greg), Lori Wells (Billy) and Melodee Daniels, (Tom). They had 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, one special nephew, Daniel Kitchen and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at Mechanicsburg Cemetery on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 11:00AM.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
